Overview

Save the World on Your Way to College!

The Global Challenge is an online international competition that encourages learning in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. If you are not yet in college, then we invite you to register, study, produce work and reap the rewards!

Who Can Join the Global Challenge?

All students who are not yet in college are invited to participate. We aim our materials for students aged 14-17, but welcome all who are not yet in college. The official language of the progam is English. There are two ways to participate - as an individual or as part of a team. For team projects, you select a friend and, if you would like, an adult (called a Country Team) and then join forces with a similar team from another country (to form an International Team).

When does the Global Challenge Start and End?

Registration is open year around and the main activities run from September to April each year. Solutions are judged each May and money and prizes are awarded in June

What Projects make up the Global Challenge?

There are 5 main project areas that are part of the Challenge. Some are designed specifically for teams, others you can do alone. You can mix and match your projects based on your interest level and time. In other words, you could form a team to compete in one competition and, at the same time, work on individual points for yourself.
